DIYA F.C.
Diya FC, based in Karachi, Pakistan, is the country’s first women’s football club, founded in 2002 by Dr. Sadia Sheikh. With over 23 years of experience, Diya FC empowers girls and women—especially from marginalized communities—through football, education, and health programs. The club provides safe transport, stipends for education and family support, and international exposure to help players build confidence and strong CVs.
Diya FC promotes gender equality, youth development, and women’s empowerment, reaching over 1,700 people through direct and indirect impact. Its long-term goal is to become a national leader in girls' football development, creating future leaders, professionals, and role models in sport and beyond.
