FASI Academies
Transforming the lives of young girls through football focusing on talent development, health, and education.
FASI Academies
FASI was born from a deep passion for football and a commitment to justice and equality. Growing up, the founder saw firsthand how opportunities in the sport were unequally distributed, particularly for girls. The pivotal moment came during their time at El Cambio Academy in Uganda, where they witnessed how football could transform lives by challenging social norms, promoting education, and empowering girls. This experience, combined with professional insights gained at organizations like ThirdWay Partners, FC Bayern Munich, and the New York Red Bulls, inspired the creation of FASI. The project represents a fusion of personal passion and professional expertise, dedicated to transforming lives and championing gender equality in Mozambique.
FASI’s mission is to transform lives through football by addressing three core pillars: talent development, health, and education. The project aims to provide young girls in Mozambique with opportunities to excel both on and off the pitch. By integrating football training with holistic support—including access to nutritious meals, education, and mental health services—FASI creates an inclusive, empowering environment. The ultimate goal is to foster well-rounded individuals who can redefine societal expectations and achieve success in diverse fields.
FASI operates a network of satellite academies that support over 1,000 girls across Mozambique. These academies provide:
Football Training: Structured sessions to develop technical and tactical skills.
Education: English lessons and academic support to expand opportunities.
Health Services: Nutritious meals and mental health resources to ensure overall well-being.
Mentorship: Exposure to female role models thriving in football and beyond.
The daily routines blend sports and personal development, creating a nurturing space for young girls to grow in confidence, skill, and ambition.

Growth Roadmap
Tomorrow
The Goal
Continue its growth and expansion, reaching even more girls across Mozambique and potentially other countries in Africa. Increase the number of satellite academies and work towards establishing a fully integrated facility to host a boarding excellence program for aspiring athletes, giving them access to world-class training, education, and development. Strengthen their partnerships with local and international organizations to ensure we provide the best opportunities for our participants. Ensuring the sustainability of our operations, with plans to implement long-term support systems for students and their families.
FASI’s long-term vision is to create a lasting legacy where football is a central tool in breaking down social barriers, particularly those related to gender inequality, in Mozambique and beyond. Become a national leader in talent development, education, and health, fostering young women who are empowered to succeed both on and off the pitch. The dream is to have thousands of young girls graduate from the program, many of whom will go on to play football at the professional level, while others will pursue successful careers in education, business, healthcare, and beyond. They envision a future where FASI's impact has reshaped societal views on women’s potential in sports and beyond, contributing to a more equitable and inclusive society.
Today
The Beginnings
They support over 1,000 girls across multiple regions of Mozambique through a growing network of satellite academies. They provide not just football training, but holistic support including nutritious meals, English lessons, mental health services, and community outreach. The team has also grown significantly, with female coaches, staff, and ambassadors who serve as role models for our girls.
The idea took root in Mozambique, where the lack of infrastructure and opportunities for young girls in football was evident. The journey began with a small network of satellite academies dedicated to providing free access to football, health services, education, and personal development for children ages 10 to 18.
